64-hour Makeup Class starting March 12 until April 5:

We are now offering a 64-hour Makeup Class starting March 12 until April 5. This 4-week program will run Monday through Thursday from 5 pm until 9 pm. Successful graduates will receive a Makeup Certificate which will entitle them to all the priviledges offered Professional Makeup Artists including membership into MAC Pro.

Cost of the program is $650 + GST for a total of $682.50. This price includes a student kit. Class size is limited so sign up early to secure your spot.

The 3rd Annual Calgary Choice Award Gala promises the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood Awards gala including; a red carpet arrival with photos, live entertainment, a fabulous silent and live auction, local celebrities and a Calgary Choice Awards Ceremony hosted by Mix 97.7 FM’s own Phoenix. It will be held on September 30, 2011 in the spectacular Palomino Ballroom and foyer at the Calgary Stampede Grounds (BMO Centre). The Winners of the coveted Calgary Choice Awards, in each of the 20 categories, will be announced and presented an engraved “Gold” Star Trophy at the gala. Media and over 400 attending guests will be on hand to celebrate with the nominees and winners. The last two years have sold out well in advance of the gala date, so reserve your tickets or corporate tables early in order to avoid disappointment. Delmar Educators: Delmar believes in continuing education! Our educators are updated yearly with the most current techniques through advanced seminars. We have recently extended our hours on Wednesday and Thursday until 8:00 p.m.!

We have recently added short courses and seminars on our webpage...check out "Continuing Education"!

We have had a busy year so far, our participation is ongoing with fashion shows, career fair days, as well as many fund raising events. For the past fourteen (14) years we have worked with the Falconer Model and Talent Agency; providing hair and makeup for Miss Calgary, Miss Teen Calgary and Mrs. Calgary pageants and Falconer photo shoots. Thanks Patti for giving our protégé professionals the opportunity to showcase their talents and networking skills.

Some "Average Joe" is going to win a $2,500 Makeover from the Men's Expo, November 5 & 6 at the BMO Centre Stampede Park!

We want your guy to look great! Send us a picture of your man and tell us why he needs a makeover.

Note: your guy must be 18+.

He'll receive an "Average Joe" Makeover that consists of:

hair styling from Delmar College of Hair & Esthetics,

wardrobe from the Forman Fashion Group, Calgary's leader in Men & Women's high end fashions,

skin and body treatments from Stillwater, a Hyatt Spa, and

relationship guidance provide by Soul Mates.

To enter,

1) Upload an image of your guys/man/"Average Joe" using an image hosting website such as, Flickr, Picasa, etc. Be sure to copy the url of your uploaded image in the “Image URL” field in the online entry ballot. The image must be:

- Submitted in BMP, PNG, GIF or JPEG format. File size must be no larger than 2 MB. Any other submissions will be rejected and deemed void;

- Original and recent, accurately reflecting the subject of the image;

- Taken by the entrant or by a family member.

2) Complete the online entry ballot on the Website in full, including the Image URL - AND the name of your baby.

Entry deadline is Midnight: Sunday, October 24th, 2010.
